It is not surprising that Jacques Cousteau declared the area “an untouched piece of art”. When diving, you will see turtles dining on sponges and algae or lazing on the wall ledges, where you will also see a wealth of macro life and fish species to rival most dive destination the world over. South Point with its colourful walls is a favourite spot. Here you will see sharks, turtles and schools of fish, and you have the chance of seeing hammerheads or thresher sharks. Barracuda Point is another favourite dive site for the vast schools of jacks, bannerfish and of course the barracuda, which will leave you simply awestruck. Sipadan is unique and lives up to its reputation as one of the world’s best.
