For most newcomers to Scuba Diving the PADI Open Water Course will be their first step on the ladder of training in this wonderful sport. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main parts, with knowledge development either online, home study or in a classroom. This is followed by confined water dives where you learn the basic skills of scuba diving, take your first breath underwater and get training on how to set your gear up. Finally you complete your open water dives to review the skills you learned and explore the underwater world. The open water course will usually last for 5 days with 5 confined dives in a training pool and 4 open water dives.
