The impressive coastline of Oman touches both the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea and offers divers a real alternative to the busier diving resorts in the Red Sea with over 40 uncrowded dive sites, good quality coral and marine life.
Fahal island is located near to the Al Qurm area of Muscat and has around 10 dive sites that you can dive all year round with depths ranging from 10 - 42 metres. Dive sites feature both artificial reef balls and stunning natural coral formations, all teeming with stingrays, black tip sharks, angelfish and honeycomb eels.
Bandar Khayran is an area close to the Euro Divers centre and resembles a miniature fjord system with small inlets and secluded beaches that are only accessible by boat. Bandar Khayran is also home to the areas first recreational wreck, the Al Munassir, an 84-metre naval ship that was sunk as an artificial reef in 2003 and is loacted at a depth of 30m. All of the dive sites are within 15 - 30 minutes by boat. The underwater fauna here includes a variety of corals, small black tips sharks, turtles, sea fans, lion fish and moray eels.
Daymaniyat Islands is a nature reserve formed by 9 islands about 90 minutes from the dive centre and features an excellenet coral reef system, abundant marine life and dive sites ranging from 1 to 30 metres.
