Diving in North Sulawesi is characterised by beautiful coral reefs, small critters and year round diving in one of the world’s premier underwater eco-systems. This is where the term “muck diving” was created and is found in the Lembeh Strait between the North eastern part of the islands of Sulawesi and Lembeh. Dives here are not usually deep but take place over black sand which creates low visibility levels, but the diversity of marine life is very high. The area also boasts some fabulous reefs and wrecks if "critter diving" is not your thing.
Manado is one of the most popular diving areas in this region and has some world class dive sites with current washed walls, incredible reefs and of course critter dives which has helped make this area so famous.
